Hart-Woods Equestrian offers training programs to suit pretty much all your requirements.

From essential basic flat work to show jumping, all based in solid dressage fundamentals.
Whether it's you or your horse that needs training or instruction, we're here for you.

​Loring S. Hart-Woods
Trained in Europe and the US, Loring has worked in many disciplines and levels of riding. 
Specializing in equitation and jumpers, Loring's training and teaching technique is strongly based on centered riding and dressage fundamentals. ​Whether in the saddle, helping a horse achieve a higher degree of understanding and balance, or on the ground doing the same for a rider, her broad expertise and knowledge base always gets results!

Ellen M. Raidt
After a stellar junior career under the tutelage of the great Judy Richter, Ellie graduated to the pro ranks and became a professional hunter/jumper and grand prix rider. She is a USET member and an international clinician and a USEF 'R' judge.
​Ellie is featured as demonstrator is within famed USET coach Bertalan de Némethy renowned book "the de Némethy Method". She is also on the cover and within Judy Richter's famous book "Horse and Rider".
Ellie has judged all the major equitation finals on many occasions, these include the USEF Hunter Seat Medal Finals, the ASPCA Maclay Finals, the USEF Talent Search Finals (East and West), the Washington International and the New England Equitation Finals.
She currently lives in Wellington Florida and carries on with her young horse development program as well as actively instructing several promising students while attending shows up and down the East coast.

Francois Lemaire de Ruffieu
Francois grew up in France and was first trained by Master Jean Couillard and graduated in 1967 from the Cadre Noir, one of the oldest and most prestigious riding academies in Europe. During his 6 years in the Cavalry at Saumur and Fontainbleau, he studied and showed extensively in dressage, stadium jumping, three-day eventing and steeplechase. He taught riding in Paris at the Military School of War.
Since 1978, he has given clinics throughout the United States of America and Europe. His students have won year-end and high-score awards in equitation, hunter classes, stadium jumping, dressage and combined training. Since 1988, he has been a panel member of the American Riding Instructor Certification program and in 1996 he was awarded the title of Master Instructor. Francois has authored several acclaimed books including "The Handbook of Jumping Essentials", "The Handbook of Riding Essentials".
